Review Process Policy

Every manuscript submitted to Jurnal Al-Fatih Global Mulia undergoes a systematic and rigorous review process to ensure scientific quality, originality, and adherence to academic standards in Islamic Economics and Business studies.

1.       Submission

Author(s) are required to submit manuscripts that align with the journal’s aims and scope and are prepared in accordance with the journal's Author Guidelines. All submissions must be made online through the Open Journal Systems (OJS).

2.       Initial Editorial Review

The Editor-in-Chief, together with members of the Editorial Board, conducts an initial screening of each submitted manuscript. To proceed beyond this stage, the manuscript must align with the journal’s aims and scope, follow the required template format, and pass a plagiarism screening with a similarity index of no more than 20% (via Turnitin). Manuscripts are also screened for ethical compliance and adherence to academic integrity standards. (Estimated processing time: 7 days).

3.       Peer Review  

The selected peer reviewers evaluate the manuscript and provide one of the following recommendations:Accept without revisionAccept with minor revisionsAccept with major revisionsRejectAuthors are notified of the reviewers’ decisions through the system, including any required revisions prior to publication. The journal employs a double-blind peer review process (where author and reviewer identities are mutually concealed) to ensure fairness, transparency, and academic integrity. 4.       Revision

Authors revise their manuscripts in accordance with the feedback and recommendations provided in the reviewers' evaluation form. (Estimated processing time: 14–21 days).

5.       Final Editorial Review

Manuscripts requiring major revisions are returned to the peer reviewers for a second round of review. (Additional estimated processing time: 14–21 days).The Editorial Board evaluates the revised manuscript alongside the authors' point-by-point response to the reviewers' comments. (Estimated processing time: 14–21 days).

6.       Editorial Decision

Following the Editor-in-Chief’s final evaluation, the author(s) receive an official notification of acceptance, revision, or rejection via OJS and email. Additional clarifications may be requested at this stage if necessary. (Estimated processing time: 3 days).

7.       Copyediting and Artwork

Accepted manuscripts undergo final similarity score verification (maximum 20%) and are processed by journal staff for typesetting, layout, and formatting according to the official journal template. (Estimated processing time: 7 days).

8.       Proofreading and Final Corrections

The formatted manuscript undergoes final proofreading by journal staff. A galley draft of the article is sent to the author(s) for final verification and approval. If no further changes are requested, the article is scheduled for publication. (Estimated processing time: 7 days).

9.       Publication

Authors are notified once their manuscript has been published online. The total estimated processing time from initial submission to final publication is approximately 3–4 months.

Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement for the Peer-Review Process

Jurnal Al-Fatih Global Mulia is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and preventing malpractice throughout the peer-review process:

·         Confidentiality: The entire review process is strictly confidential. Editors, reviewers, and editorial staff must maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscript information.

·         Objectivity and Impartiality: Reviews are conducted objectively and without bias. Evaluation is based purely on scholarly merit, relevance, and methodological quality, free from personal or institutional conflicts of interest.

·         Timeliness: The review process is executed within a reasonable timeframe, with regular status updates provided to authors.

·         Transparency and Accountability: Reviewers are encouraged to provide clear, evidence-based, and constructive feedback. All editorial decisions are transparent, fair, and grounded in reviewer recommendations.

·         Conflict of Interest: Editors and reviewers must declare any potential conflicts of interest. If a conflict is identified, the individual must recuse themselves from the evaluation.

·         Plagiarism and Misconduct: Reviewers and editors must remain vigilant for plagiarism, data fabrication, or duplicate publication. Any suspected misconduct will be investigated following COPE guidelines.
